How to Connect Dumpling AI’s Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system to Make.com

This setup allows you to create a customized knowledge base in Dumpling AI and then connect it to Make.com for querying purposes.

Step 1: Sign Up and Access Knowledge Base in Dumpling AI

1. Sign Up on Dumpling AI
   Go to Dumpling AI and sign up. Once your account is active, log in and access the Knowledge Base.
2. Create a New Knowledge Base
   • In the Dumpling AI dashboard, navigate to Knowledge Base.
   • Click on Create First Knowledge Base to set up a new base.

Enter a Name for your knowledge base to identify it easily.

Step 2: Adding Resources to Your Knowledge Base

1. Open Your New Knowledge Base
   Once named, you’ll be directed to the new Knowledge Base interface.
2. Add Resources
   Under Resource, select the type of information you want to store:
   • Text: Click on Text to add written information directly.
   • Document: Select Document to upload files like PDFs or DOCX.

Populate the Knowledge Base
Enter your chosen resources by either typing content for Text or uploading files for Document. These resources will be used to answer queries in the Knowledge Base.

Step 3: Copy the Knowledge Base ID

After populating your Knowledge Base, copy its Knowledge Base ID (found in the overview panel). This ID uniquely identifies your knowledge base and will be needed in Make.com.

Step 4: Set Up Dumpling AI’s Knowledge Base Module in Make.com

1. Log in to Make.com
   Open Make.com and create a new scenario for your RAG system integration.
2. Add Dumpling AI Module
   In the Make.com module library, search for Dumpling AI and select Knowledge Base to use its querying function.
3. Connect Dumpling AI to Make.com
   • If you already have a Dumpling AI connection in Make.com, select it.
   • If not, click Add to create a new connection.

Step 5: Creating a New Dumpling AI Connection in Make.com

1. Set Up Connection
   A prompt will appear asking for Dumpling AI credentials.
   • API Key: Go back to Dumpling AI, access your account settings, and locate the API Key.
   • Paste the API Key into Make.com to authenticate.

Save and Authorize
Click Save to establish the connection between Dumpling AI and Make.com

Step 6: Configure the Knowledge Base Module in Make.com

1. Add Knowledge Base ID and Query
   In the Dumpling AI Knowledge Base module:
   • Knowledge Base ID: Paste the ID you copied earlier from Dumpling AI.
   • Query: Enter the specific question or information you want the Knowledge Base to retrieve.
2. Save and Run the Module
   Click OK to save the configuration. Run a test to ensure Make.com can successfully query Dumpling AI’s Knowledge Base using the specified ID and query.

With this setup, you’ve successfully connected Dumpling AI’s RAG system to Make.com, enabling dynamic information retrieval from your custom Knowledge Base. You can now automate queries for more efficient data management and information access.
